Etching ~ The process of removing only the polish from a granite surface with a
diamond tipped drill, allowing a more personal and detailed design.
 
         
 

Linda Lou Tillson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, 1974.  She has 30 years experience in drawing and painting all subjects, specializing in portraits.  Many Tillson portraits can be found in municipal agencies in the greater Taunton area.  Her best known works include the portraits of Korean War Veteran, Richard Deulert, Medic, placed in Morton Hospital Emergency Ward, and also aboard the U.S. Naval Frigate Deulert FFG45.  Linda has three portraits as part of the permanent collection of The Old Colony Historical Society Musuem in Taunton; and, her portrait of former First Lady Barbara Bush for the Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas.
